A vietnamese family moved to Garden Grove and gave their kids new names. Fairly common w/ immigrants, esp. if you don't want your kids to be named Phuc. (yes, it's pronounced "fuk".) The parents wanted the kids to have solidly American sounding names. They looked around, asked around, and decided to rename their two boys Fernando and Jose.
I am not making this up.
