a little history


they're closing a court in England today.
it opened in 1735, and has been in continuous operation ever since. Dickens used to hang out there, looking for characters in his stories. Casanova (yeah, that one) stood for charges there. So did the Kray brothers. and Oscar Wilde. and lots and lots of other not-famous people.

they're turning it into a hotel. ahhh, progress.
