I miss you. it's been a while since I posted, but I didn't have anything good to share.
I was all set to write a funny post about that other thing, but it got derailed. It wasn't funny, or clever (funny and cleverness of previous posts implied, not guaranteed).
So you get that most feeble of fillers: the link dump. kind of but not really sorry about it.
- web two-point-oh reviews for techie dorks that missed out on the dotcom boom*. (thanks to uncov.com for the graphic. please don't make me take it down. it looks like you cribbed it from gywo, anyway.)
- analysis of baseball analysis from the guys over at firejoemorgan.com. this is one of my all-time favorite websites. regular readers of this space will remember it as my original inspiration for this blog (when it was called "firedickvitale"). note to self: I need to do another analysis of Dicky V's idiocy. and soon.
- celebrity gossip from wwtdd.com. perez hilton for straight guys.
- the Ex-Girlfriend's new blog about being a bridesmaid/maid of honor. Being in 12 weddings would probably make a girl crazy. that's a warning sign I'll pay attention to in the future. in my defense, i think she had only been in 9 or 10 by the time we met.
only. 9. or 10. - finally, the Guardian (UK) published the shortlist of Turner prize candidates. The Turner prize is often a source of controversy, not least because some of the candidates do stupid sh*t and pretend it is art, e.g. one candidate recreated Iraq war protest materials and put them inside a musuem (as opposed to in front of the house of parliament); another made a little cardboard model of a mosque and covered it in diagonal stripes. idiots.
